Air Music Tech, the company that created all their instrument plugins exclusively for Pro Tools up until last year, today released a very interesting teaser image on their Facebook page.
The image shows a darkened screenshot of their subtractive synthesiser plug-in Hybrid. Air Music tech already released 64-bit AAX versions of their complete Pro Tools Instrument Expansion Pack late last year including Strike, Transfuser, Hybrid, Structure, Velvet and two new VI’s called Vacuum Pro and Loom. The biggest expectancy and request has been lately that Air release these plugins in the form of VST and Audio Unit versions.
Many of Air’s plug-ins have received critical acclaim over the years but only one sentence repeatedly crept up in what were often very positive reviews, “It’s a shame these plugins aren’t available for Logic, Cubase and other DAWS”. This might all change coming NAMM 2014 as Air will reveal what the mystery image of Hybrid is all about.
I believe Air will do very well if they indeed would release VST and AU versions of all their plug-ins at the NAMM show. It’s only 8 days away boys and girls. Don’t eat up all your fingernails 😉
