Reason gets New Rack Extensions

Lots of news for Reason users lately. Many plugin and software developers have announced new Rack Extensions versions of plugins and instruments.

Rack Extensions are effects, instruments and sounds that can be routed using Reason’s famous patch cable system on the virtual back of the rack. They can be combined with all other Racks including Reason’s Combinator. Among the companies that have already produced Rack Extensions for Reason are KORG, Softube, Rob Papen, Audiorealism and McDSP.

Rob Papen Friday announced the immediate availability of PunchBD-RE as a Rack Extension for Reason. PunchBD-RE is a bass drum synthesizer with two modelled drum modules, a click/noise module and a sample module. PunchBD-RE is not the first Rack Extension from Rob Papen. Earlier they released Predator-RE, SubBoomBass-RE, RP-Distort-RE and PR-Verb-RE.

McDSP released the Compressor Collection Rack Extension, a bundle of dynamic range processors, including the C670, FRG-4RE, and Moo Tube compressors.

AudioRealism recently introduced ReDominator, an emulation of the classic Alpha Juno 1/2 as a Rack Extension.
