The gorgeous one-of-a-kind red aluminium Mac Pro has been auctioned for an astonishing $977,000 US dollar.

The design team of Apple, led by Jony Ives, designed a unique Mac Pro in a beautiful Ferrari red aluminium. All proceeds from the auction at Sotheby’s will go to the Product (RED) program. The concept of product (RED) was founded in 2006 by U2 frontman Bono, together with Bobby Shriver. The purpose of (RED) is to raise awareness and funds to help eliminate HIV/Aids in Africa. The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria receives the proceeds of the Mac Pro auction.
