Pro Tools 10.3.3 adds Gobbler support

Avid has released Pro Tools 10.3.3 with bug fixes and Gobbler support. One of the striking changes Avid has made is the improvement in Disk Caching. Pro Tools now only caches the audio files that Will be heard during playback. Clips that are muted or not on an active play list will not be cached.

But the biggest news is of course the addition of Gobbler support. Under the File menu you now have an option to ‘Send to Gobbler’. This will gather all of the audio files used in your session – regardless of whether they are in the session folder or not – and wrap everything up to send it to Gobbler’s server. Gobbler will send an e-mail to the recipient with a download link.

One thing that isn’t supported yet is sending a backup to Gobbler from within Pro Tools. That’s what I was really waiting for. But that should only be an update away. This is a great start for all Pro Tools users and good news that Avid and Gobbler are working together.
