Universal Audio’s award winning Apollo interface will gain new features in the first half of 2013. One of the major upgrades is the capability to cascade multiple units. Multi-unit cascading allows simultaneous use of 16 analog inputs and outputs, including eight mic preamps, 12 digital inputs and outputs which is perfect for tracking a full band.

This extra connectivity option is instantiated via a redesigned Console application that offers better visual feedback, a new Mix-Merge mode, and a Pro Tools mode which makes integration with Pro Tools systems a lot simpler. Next to the cascading upgrade a future software update will give Apollo owners new Amp Room plugins developed by Softube. The Amp Room plugins contain high quality models of a Vintage Amp Room, Metal Amp Room, Bass Amp Room, and Acoustic Feedback Deluxe.
