Avid talks Music Production with Pro Tools 11

Avid has posted a new blog post by Andrew Wild who discusses the use of virtual instruments and the power of Pro Tools 11 for Music Production.

Avid’s Pro Tools isn’t just the industry standard for recording and post production. Their new version 11 has a fantastic workflow for Music Production and the use of virtual instruments as well. I for one use Pro Tools intensively for songwriting and music production, utilizing its 64-bit power for many virtual instruments in one DAW. The new 64-bit AAX plug-in format has exploded and nearly all current plug-in developers have their plug-ins ready for this format with new developers jumping on board each week.
One of the great features in Pro Tools 11 is the RAM Cache, which allows you to load your whole session into RAM making playing back and recording immensely snappy and your workflow very fast.
