Avid Releases Pro Tools 11.1.2 update

Pro Tools 11.1.2, Released today by Avid, is a small update with several bug fixes for both Mac and PC.

The issues resolved in Pro Tools 11.1.2 are:

– C|24 HD-specific features are now available when using Pro Tools HD with non-HD hardware,
  including Aggregate I/O.
– Automation thinning no longer occurs improperly to breakpoints outside the most recent pass.
– Pro Tools now correctly extracts audio from imported AAF files.
– When there are missing files in an open session, mounting a volume no longer causes the
  Relink dialog to open.
– Pro Tools no longer quits unexpectedly on launch with networked home folders via OS X
  Open Directory.
– Pro Tools now recognizes Finder folders that contain a forward slash “/” in their name.

Windows

– Automation now properly interacts with linked plug-in parameters.
– C|24 HD-specific features are now available when using Pro Tools HD with non-HD hardware.
– Automation thinning no longer occurs improperly to breakpoints outside the most recent pass.
– Pro Tools now correctly extracts audio from imported AAF files.
– When there are missing files in an open session, mounting a volume no longer causes the
  Relink dialog to open.

If you have Pro Tools HDX hardware this update will require you to install a firmware update. This will take place automatically during the installation of the update. The firmware update has been tested for backwards compatibility with Pro Tools 10.3.6 and later.

The Eleven Rack Window is still not available in this update. The Pro-Tools-Expert blog though have reported that a new version of the Eleven Rack software editor is on its way. It will include a stand-alone version that allows you to use the Eleven rack with other hardware. Maybe Avid will release it at NAMM.
