Sunday Avid released the Pro Tools 11.0.2 update. This version fixes many bugs and brings back a feature that was omitted from the initial 11 release.

Many Pro Tools users were surprised to see the Time Compression and Expansion algorithm omitted from the initial Pro Tools 11 release. This algorithm works with the TC/E Trim Tool and is great for time-stretching dry vocals and speech to fit the program material. Pro Tools 11.0.2 brings this algorithm back to the relieve of many users.

Next to the TCE alogorithm Avid released an update for their XForm plugin. XForm is Avid’s high quality Pitch Shifting and Time Compression plugin. The algorithm of the TCE tool is also usable for the TC/E Trim tool as well as Elastic Audio tracks.

The Eleven Rack window is still not available but Pro Tools 11 users might be happy to hear that with 11.0.2 you can now properly load back 11R rigs from Pro Tools again.
